Bangalow
Decorated by native palms, a must-do destination, Bangalow is a sophisticated rural town 10 minutes from Clunes. It has fantastic cafés, restaurants, clothing and homewares stores, including The Corner Store, Island Luxe, and Bisque, for Homewares, Island Lux, Rowie, Assembly label, Miller and More for both, including a fantastic selection of quality second hand labels to name just a few.
Woods Café, sister to the famed Folk Byron Bay is part of the 10 Station Street complex and is a mix of local labels and crafts and comes with a cult vegan following, whilst The Corner café, Town, Pantry 29 and Butcher Baker are also all great options.
Bangalow farmers market is every Saturday 8am – 11am in Bangalow Hotel car park and the main market is held on the 4thSunday of every month in the showground. Bangalow also hosts Sample Food Festival showcasing locally grown food, products and restaurants in September. Bangalow music festival is in August, the Billy Cart Derby in the main street in May, Bangalow Show in early November and a wonderful street party on Christmas Eve where the the main street is again closed for street performers, fairground rides, music, carol singers, food stalls, and last minute shopping.
