Brunswick Heads
Located at the mouth of the Brunswick River and know as Bruns’ to the locals, this once sleepy holiday town has become increasingly popular and makes a great day trip for the family. It has a multitude of parks and playgrounds, a surf beach and the sheltered Torakina Beach aswell asSimpson Creek, an offshoot of the Brunswick River so there’s a beach to suit all.
There are plenty of good café options, boutiques and second hand clothing stores to while away the hours. Home to highly acclaimed fine dining Fleet restaurant. It’s also worth checking out what’s on at the original restored Brunswick picture house. Several events are held in the local town including Brunswick Valley Wood chop festival in January, Old and Gold a collectable and second hand fair held in June, andBack to Brunswick Hot Rod Run in mid July. Markets are held on the first Saturday of every month.
